Yogie and Friends is sad to announce that our 28 year old lioness, Snagglepuss, died of natural causes today. Snagglepuss arrived at Yogie and Friends with Leo and another female, Snaggletooth, on July 15th 2002. They lived in a garage in Texas for 17 years. We know that our facility was not what she should have been in, but it was so much better than the conditions we rescued her from. We hope she knows she was loved and cared for as much as any human can for an animal that should have never been captive born. We loved her, as we do all our animals, and will miss her a great deal. The “Leo” Pride is now gone from Yogie and Friends, but not from our hearts.

UPDATE: Yogie and Friends has set up a freezer fund. At this time we have raised $2400 out of $15,000 needed. The amount originally quoted was way off because of other items required to update and repair. Please share this info with your friends. It's all about the cats.

Yogie and Friends is having a struggle with our large walk-in freezer used to store food for the big cats.  Even with all labor costs being free (our founder is a Master HVAC Technician) It is going to cost in excess of $15,000, but it will be brand new and easier to repair in the future. It's just a bad, bad hit in the wallet. We will also be getting a generator for it to not lose food when the power goes out. A normal occurance around Frierson.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and any donations are tax deductible. If you can, please use the big orange "DONATE" button at the top left of our website to help us raise the funds we need to keep from losing 20,000 pounds of food for our cats.  We have raised $2400 of the $15,000 so far and every dollar helps!
