Don Edson Sherret

We sadly want to share the loss of our original webmaster, Don Edson Sherret, of Shreveport, Louisiana. Don was a huge fan of our mission with both big, and small, cats.

Don always supported our events and all things cats. He even got a new cat named, Sheba, who didn’t really like anyone but Don, Lol!

We will miss Don and know he is probably playing with his dog, Hooter, and playing darts and pool.

R.I.P. Don. We miss you. We will eat some gingerbread and have a glass of wine, in your honor.

(His Obituary)

Memorial services for Don Edson Sherret 83, of Shreveport, Louisiana will be held September 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway in Shreveport, LA. Reverend Henry Martin will be officiating the services.

Don, a real estate investor, was born on October 16, 1935 to the union of Herschel and Grace Sherret in Fitzgerald, GA and passed from this life on August 11, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. Don loved spending time with his friends and attended a Wednesday morning men’s breakfast for many years. He loved animals of all kinds and was especially fond of his Pomeranian named “Hooter” and his Cat named “Sheba”. Don took a special interest in Horse Racing and could name all the “Triple Crown” Winners. Don served as the website developer of a “Big Cat Sanctuary” and supported their mission to rescue those animals needing a home. Don was an avid reader and spent many hours reading books about making money and smart investments. Don loved people and helped many of his renters get through hard times.

Survivors left to cherish his memory are his friends and business associates. Don was an only child and had no living relatives.
